This project shows how KINODIN repeatedly manufactured a coordinated rosemary mint hair care range across four different product formats: shampoo, conditioner, hair mask and hair oil. The case is useful for brands planning a botanical collection rather than a single SKU.
The customer wanted a complete rosemary mint hair-care concept with a consistent visual and aromatic identity, while allowing each SKU to perform according to its own format. KINODIN developed and produced the range as a coordinated system and subsequently completed multiple production runs.
| SKU | Size | Product Format | Development Priority |
|---|---|---|---|
| Rosemary Mint Shampoo | 500 ml | Cleansing system | Foam, cleansing, viscosity, freshness and rinse feel |
| Rosemary Mint Conditioner | 500 ml | Conditioning emulsion | Slip, detangling, softness and after-feel |
| Rosemary Mint Hair Mask | 250 ml | Rich treatment emulsion | Cream structure, scoopability, conditioning and rinse feel |
| Rosemary Mint Hair Oil | 30 ml | Anhydrous botanical oil | Spreadability, aromatic balance, viscosity and dispenser compatibility |
The key technical challenge was not simply adding rosemary and mint to four products. Shampoo, conditioner, mask and oil are fundamentally different formula systems. They need to feel related as one retail collection, but each product must be engineered separately.
The range was designed around a recognizable rosemary aroma with a light mint character. The formulas also use a botanical and conditioning ingredient story adapted to each format rather than forcing one identical ingredient list across all four products.
This distinction matters in private label development: a coherent product line is created through consistent positioning, fragrance direction, packaging and consumer experience—not by copying the same formula structure into every SKU.
The 30 ml hair oil uses a multi-carrier oil concept rather than presenting rosemary oil as the whole formula. The oil system includes sweet almond, jojoba, grapeseed and pumpkin seed oils, with rosemary, peppermint and lavender oils plus nettle extract and tocopherol.
Coco-Caprylate/Caprate is also used in the oil system to support spreadability and sensory refinement. This structure allows the product to maintain a botanical positioning while avoiding an unnecessarily dense single-oil texture.

The production set uses coordinated dark packaging to create one recognizable retail family while matching the dispensing requirements of each product.
| Shampoo | Large-format pump bottle for controlled daily dispensing. |
| Conditioner | Matching pump bottle to maintain shelf consistency with the shampoo. |
| Hair Mask | Wide-mouth jar suited to a richer cream viscosity. |
| Hair Oil | Compact 30 ml retail format designed for controlled leave-on oil application. |
For this type of multi-SKU project, repeatability depends on controlling more than bulk formula preparation. The complete production system has to remain coordinated from batch preparation through filling and final assembly.
A rosemary product line does not need to be built as four unrelated stock products. A manufacturer can develop the range around one commercial concept while preserving the technical requirements of each format.
This is especially useful for brands that want to launch a hero rosemary oil first and then expand into shampoo, conditioner and treatment products, or for brands that want a coordinated multi-SKU launch from the beginning.
