Ready-to-Label Formula
Suitable when speed, lower development complexity and a tested formula direction are the main priorities.
KINODIN supports private label brands with formula evaluation, benchmark-led product development, sensory adjustment, shade and fragrance work, packaging compatibility review, prototype management and production scale-up. Development requirements are defined around the target user, desired performance, product format, packaging system and destination market.
Not every project requires a formula to be created from zero. Some brands need a proven base with packaging and branding support; others need meaningful changes to texture, fragrance, ingredients or performance; advanced projects may require original benchmark-led development. KINODIN reviews the brief before recommending the appropriate route.
The selected route affects sampling work, development time, testing needs, MOQ and cost.
Suitable when speed, lower development complexity and a tested formula direction are the main priorities.
Suitable when a brand wants a differentiated sensory or ingredient direction without beginning with a completely new technical platform.
Suitable for clearly defined performance targets, distinctive formats or products inspired by a benchmark while remaining an original brand formula.
A useful development brief explains what the product must do, how it should feel, who will use it and how it will be packaged. A benchmark can provide a performance reference, but the goal is to translate that reference into measurable product characteristics rather than simply copy a label or ingredient list.
The development team converts commercial language such as “very dry,” “lightweight,” “non-greasy,” “strong hold” or “fast absorbing” into prototype targets that can be compared and refined.
A commercially successful formula must balance performance, sensory experience, stability, packaging and production feasibility.
Reviewing the product format, ingredient direction, technical constraints and intended application.
Using a physical benchmark to define performance, application, finish and sensory targets for an original product.
Developing and comparing shades for hair fibers, hairline powders, root touch-up and hair color formats.
Refining viscosity, spreadability, absorption, residue, hold, shine, softness and scalp or hair feel.
Selecting or adjusting fragrance intensity and character in relation to the formula and product positioning.
Reviewing whether viscosity, dispensing, closure, leakage, material contact and user application suit the selected package.
Each sample round should record what changed and why. Feedback is most useful when it separates performance, texture, fragrance, color, packaging and application rather than describing the sample only as “good” or “not good.”
The appropriate testing program depends on product type, formula risk, packaging, claims, destination market and customer requirements. Available testing may be completed by the applicable manufacturing site or qualified external laboratories.
Monitoring relevant changes in appearance, odor, color, viscosity, pH or physical behavior.
Testing requirements are selected according to product format, preservation system and market needs.
Reviewing dispensing, leakage, closure, deformation, formula contact and application behavior.
Comparing relevant application and sensory attributes against the approved target or benchmark.
Testing scope, protocol, laboratory, timing and cost should be confirmed before the project begins. Development samples are not automatically equivalent to completed regulatory or claims substantiation.
Before commercial production, the approved product must be reviewed against raw-material sourcing, batch process, equipment, filling behavior, packaging supply and quality checkpoints.
Review the service route, sampling requirements, production capabilities and project-specific documentation before starting development.
Tell us the product format, benchmark, target user, performance direction, key ingredients, packaging concept, destination market and estimated quantity. KINODIN will review the appropriate development route and next sampling step.
