OEM & Private Label Hair Care Manufacturing

Build a Coordinated Hair Cleansing & Treatment Range

KINODIN develops and manufactures private label shampoos, conditioners, hair masks, pre-shampoo treatments, leave-in care, dry shampoos and between-wash products for international hair care brands, distributors, salons and e-commerce businesses.

Choose an established formula, modify a suitable base or begin with a benchmark-led brief. We coordinate cleansing and conditioning performance, texture, fragrance, packaging, samples, compatibility evaluation, quality control and scalable production.

Product Architecture

Create a Complete Wash-Day and Treatment System

Each product should have a distinct role. Cleansing strength, conditioning level and treatment intensity need to work together so the routine feels balanced rather than repetitive or overly heavy.

01 · CLEANSE

Shampoo

Daily, moisturizing, clarifying, volumizing, color-care, curl-care, botanical and professional shampoo concepts developed around cleansing level, foam, rinse feel and scalp comfort.

02 · CONDITION

Conditioner

Lightweight or rich rinse-off systems focused on slip, detangling, wet and dry combability, softness, frizz control, shine and a clean rinse without unwanted buildup.

03 · INTENSIVE TREATMENT

Hair Masks & Deep Treatments

Rich cream and treatment formats for dry, damaged, chemically treated, colored, curly or textured hair, with careful control of viscosity, spreadability, detangling, rinse feel and after-feel.

04 · BEFORE & AFTER WASHING

Pre-Shampoo & Leave-In Care

Pre-poo detanglers, creams, lotions, oils and sprays can support textured-hair, curl-care and protective-style routines before cleansing or after washing.

05 · BETWEEN-WASH CARE

Dry Shampoo & Hair Perfume

Refresh-focused products for oil absorption, temporary volume, root freshness or fragrance between washes. Residue, scent, dispensing and hair-color compatibility require careful evaluation.

Range Planning

Match the Routine to the Target Hair Need

Target routine Shampoo direction Treatment direction Key evaluation points
Fine or oily hair Balanced daily or clarifying cleanse Light conditioner or occasional mask Clean rinse, volume, low residue and manageable softness
Dry or damaged hair Gentle moisturizing cleanse Rich conditioner and intensive mask Slip, detangling, softness, frizz and after-feel
Curly or textured hair Moisture-conscious cleansing system Pre-poo, rich conditioner, mask or leave-in Distribution, detangling, curl feel, residue and buildup
Colored or treated hair Color-care or gentle cleansing direction Conditioner and treatment mask Hair feel, shine, combability and supported color-care claims
Salon or professional use Concentrated or service-specific cleansing High-slip mask or professional treatment Repeatable results, larger packs and dispensing efficiency
For a coordinated collection: evaluate shampoo, conditioner and hair mask both individually and as a complete routine. The cleansing strength of step one changes how the conditioner and mask feel in later steps.
Formula Development

Start with Performance, Not an Ingredient List

A shampoo surfactant system influences cleansing strength, foam, viscosity, rinse feel and compatibility with conditioning ingredients. “Sulfate-free” is a useful positioning direction, but it does not automatically determine mildness or performance.

Conditioners and masks require the right balance of conditioning agents, fatty materials, humectants, proteins, amino acids, botanical oils, silicones or silicone-free alternatives for the target hair type and intended after-feel.

Concept ingredients may include keratin, hydrolyzed proteins, amino acids, argan oil, coconut-derived materials, shea-derived ingredients, panthenol, aloe, rosemary or rice-water-oriented ingredients. Final selections must remain compatible with the complete formula.

Commercial Performance

Texture, Fragrance and Packaging Shape the Experience

Wash & Rinse Feel

Review foam volume and texture, spread through wet hair, rinsing speed, slip, residue, wet-hair softness and dry-hair finish.

Fragrance System

Create one fragrance identity across the range while adjusting it for each formula, because scent strength and persistence can change between shampoo, conditioner and mask bases.

Viscosity & Dispensing

The formula must dispense reliably from the selected pump, cap, tube or jar. Thick masks and fluid shampoos require different component structures and filling controls.

Packaging Options

Options may include pump, disc-top or flip-top bottles; tubes; hair-mask jars; fine-mist sprays; sachets; dry-shampoo dispensers; labels; direct printing; cartons; travel formats; and larger salon packs. Stock components usually support a more flexible MOQ, while custom colors, molds and special decoration require separate minimums.

Project Workflow

From Benchmark and Samples to Production

1

Define the Routine

Confirm market, hair type, product roles, benchmark, performance targets, quantity and claims.

2

Select Formula Routes

Choose established, modified or custom development for each SKU and shortlist suitable packs.

3

Prepare Samples

Compare cleansing, foam, texture, detangling, rinse feel, fragrance, residue and finished-hair feel.

4

Test the Final System

Evaluate stability, microbiology and packaging compatibility as required, using the intended container.

5

Approve Formula & Artwork

Record the approved formula, fragrance, color, viscosity, packaging, claims and label details.

6

Manufacture & Inspect

Produce, fill, assemble and inspect against retained specifications and reference samples.

Quality Control

Control Formula, Packaging and Finished Goods

Cleansing and treatment formulas require controlled manufacturing, microbiological management and packaging compatibility assessment. The inspection plan is matched to the final product specification.

  • Raw-material, formula and batch verification
  • Appearance, color, fragrance, pH and viscosity checks
  • Foam, application or conditioning assessment as applicable
  • Fill quantity, pump, cap and closure inspection
  • Microbiological, stability and compatibility testing as required
  • Artwork, batch identification and finished-pack checks

Claims & Shipping

Confirm Claims and Product Classification Before Printing

Claims such as “repairs damaged hair,” “strengthens hair,” “reduces breakage” or “color-safe” should reflect the final formula, available evidence and destination-market rules. Cosmetic products should not use medical or unsupported therapeutic claims.

Aerosol dry shampoos require separate review of the filling system, container, storage, transport classification, dangerous-goods documents and carrier acceptance before the shipment plan is confirmed.

MOQ & Sampling

Approve the Routine Before Bulk Production

MOQ

MOQ depends on formula, fill size, packaging and customization. Established formulas with stock packaging normally provide greater flexibility than new formulas or custom components.

Samples

For a matched range, compare every SKU alone and in sequence. Two performance or fragrance directions may be useful when the brief has not yet been narrowed.

Lead Time

The schedule is confirmed after formula, packaging, artwork and required testing are defined. Special ingredients and custom packs can extend preparation time.

Frequently Asked Questions

Hair Cleansing & Treatment FAQ

Can KINODIN develop a complete shampoo, conditioner and mask range?

Yes. The products can share a fragrance identity, ingredient story and packaging family while each formula retains a clear role and appropriate performance.

Can you develop from a benchmark product?

Yes. A benchmark helps define foam, viscosity, fragrance, rinse feel, detangling and finished-hair performance. The final formula is developed toward an agreed brief rather than copied exactly.

Can you manufacture sulfate-free shampoo?

Yes, subject to the required performance. The complete cleansing system should be assessed for foam, viscosity, rinse feel and mildness-related positioning.

Can fragrance and viscosity be customized?

Yes. Fragrance direction, strength, color, appearance and viscosity can be adjusted within the compatibility, stability and packaging requirements of the formula.

Do you develop products for curly and textured hair?

Yes. Product routes can include moisture-conscious shampoos, rich conditioners, deep masks, pre-shampoo detanglers and leave-in treatments for textured-hair routines.

What information is needed for a quotation?

Send the product types, target market and hair type, benchmark, performance goals, ingredients and exclusions, fragrance, fill sizes, packaging references, quantities, claims, requested documents and launch timing.
