A UK e-commerce client approached KINODIN to create a professional private label hair fiber range for the Amazon market. Starting with only 960 bottles, we helped the client develop a brand identity, logo, bottle design, nine-shade system and market-focused inventory plan. The project later expanded to include two sizes of fiber hold spray, a custom pump applicator, a hairline optimizer, 50 g refill bags and several retail bundles. Through controlled shade production, label verification, quality inspection and Amazon-ready preparation, the client built a complete hair concealer product system that earned strong marketplace feedback.
The client was preparing to launch a new hair concealer brand in the United Kingdom, with Amazon UK as a primary sales channel. The business needed more than a ready-made product with a new label. It needed a clear brand identity, a practical shade range, packaging suitable for e-commerce and a product system that could grow after the first market test.
As a new project, inventory risk was an important consideration. Ordering every shade in equal quantities could have tied up working capital in slower-moving colors. At the same time, launching with too few shades would have made the range look incomplete and limited its appeal to UK consumers. The client therefore needed an experienced hair building fiber manufacturer that could combine product development with commercial planning.
KINODIN proposed a first production run of 960 bottles. This gave the client a manageable starting quantity while still supporting nine colors and a professional market presentation.
Before production began, our team worked with the client on the visual foundation of the brand. KINODIN supported the logo design, bottle presentation and label system so that the products would remain recognizable across different shades, accessories and bundles.
The logo had to work at a small size on the hair fiber bottle while remaining clear in Amazon product images. We developed a design direction that could also be used on holding sprays, refill bags, boxes and accessories. The bottle artwork was organized to communicate the product type, shade and key information without overcrowding the front panel.
Nine colors meant nine related but distinct SKUs. Each shade required accurate naming and a clear label identifier. We built a consistent system so customers and warehouse teams could distinguish Black, Dark Brown, Medium Brown, Light Brown and the specialty shades quickly. This system also made it easier to expand the range without changing the overall brand identity.
A complete shade selection is valuable, but the quantities must reflect expected demand. Based on the client’s target market and the intended product positioning, the first order was divided into three inventory groups.
| Shade Group | Colors | Share of Initial Order |
|---|---|---|
| Core shades | Black and Dark Brown | 50% |
| Popular brown shades | Medium Brown and Light Brown | 30% |
| Specialized shades | Dark Blonde, Medium Blonde, Light Blonde, White and Gray | 20% |
Black and Dark Brown received half of the initial quantity because they were expected to generate the strongest demand. Medium Brown and Light Brown accounted for another 30%. The remaining 20% was allocated across five specialized colors, allowing the brand to serve blonde, white-haired and gray-haired customers without carrying excessive opening inventory in each shade.
This was more than a color choice. It was an inventory strategy designed to protect cash flow, maintain a broad consumer offer and create better data for future reorders. The formula and shade specifications were then controlled during production to help maintain consistency between the approved samples and finished goods. Brands considering a similar range can also review our custom keratin hair fiber options.
The project did not stop at individual fiber bottles. As the client developed its market offer, KINODIN helped create complementary products and accessories that supported different routines, price points and bundle formats.
We customized fiber hold spray in 118 ml and 250 ml sizes. The smaller format supported standard sets and convenient use, while the larger size gave frequent users a higher-value option. Bottle artwork and labeling were coordinated with the main fiber range to keep the collection visually consistent.
A hair fiber pump applicator was customized to fit the selected bottle. This accessory helps users direct fibers toward the hairline, parting or smaller thinning areas. Adding the applicator also allowed the client to create more specialized bundles instead of competing only on the price of a single fiber bottle.
We also customized a hairline optimizer for more controlled front-hairline application. When used with the fiber bottle and pump applicator, it helps the consumer create a softer boundary and reduces the risk of an unnaturally straight application line.
For repeat customers and high-frequency users, the range was extended with 50 g hair fiber refill bags. The refill format created a practical repeat-purchase product and gave the client another way to serve value-conscious consumers.
A single bottle can attract a first-time buyer, but bundles can explain the application routine, increase convenience and support a higher average order value. For this project, KINODIN produced several configurations:
Each configuration required its own packaging layout, packing list and SKU control. Developing the combinations at the manufacturing stage helped the client receive retail-ready products instead of assembling every kit after arrival in the UK.
A nine-color range with multiple accessories and sets creates more operational complexity than a single-SKU order. A mistake in one shade label, bundle component or Amazon barcode can affect customer satisfaction and inventory accuracy. We therefore used a staged production and inspection process.
Production followed the approved shade plan and ingredient specification. The team checked the appearance of the fibers and matched each production batch with the correct shade identity. Higher-volume colors such as Black and Dark Brown received particular attention because a small variation could affect a larger portion of the order.
The label name, shade code, product container and packing record were cross-checked before final packing. This was especially important for visually related brown and blonde shades. The same discipline was applied to the 118 ml and 250 ml sprays, accessories, refill bags and finished sets.
Inspection covered product appearance, fill weight or volume, closure fit, seal condition, label placement, print quality, accessory compatibility, bundle contents and carton quantity. These controls helped reduce avoidable errors before international shipment. Because Amazon was a primary sales channel, fulfillment details were considered before shipment. Products and bundles were separated by SKU, and the required Amazon labels were applied to the correct units. Barcodes were checked against the product shade and bundle configuration before cartons were closed.
This preparation reduced the amount of relabeling and sorting required after the goods reached the client. It also lowered the risk of sending the wrong color or set into Amazon inventory. For e-commerce brands, these finishing details can be just as important as formula and package design.
The client successfully introduced the range on Amazon UK and developed it beyond the original 960-bottle launch. Marketplace review summaries highlighted qualities such as natural appearance, scalp coverage and ease of use. Some customer feedback also compared the product favorably with Toppik, an established name in the hair fiber category.
These comments represent individual marketplace feedback rather than a KINODIN performance guarantee or a controlled comparative test. Toppik is a trademark of its respective owner and is not affiliated with this project. For KINODIN, the most important result was that a carefully planned small opening order became the foundation for a much broader collection of shades, accessories, sprays, refills and retail bundles.
A professional launch does not always require a very large first order. It does require a clear plan. New brands should avoid dividing their inventory equally across every color without considering likely demand. Core dark shades may need larger quantities, while specialty shades can provide valuable market coverage in more controlled numbers.
It is also useful to plan beyond the first bottle. A hold spray, pump applicator, hairline optimizer, refill format and several logical bundles can turn one product into a more defensible range. Packaging and Amazon requirements should be discussed before production, not added as an afterthought.

The appropriate starting quantity depends on bottle size, formula, shade count and packaging. This UK project began with 960 bottles, demonstrating how a focused opening order can support a professional market test.
Quantities should reflect your target market and sales channel. In this case, Black and Dark Brown represented 50%, Medium Brown and Light Brown represented 30%, and five specialized shades shared the remaining 20%.
