Foshan Younik Cosmetics Co., Ltd. has delivered a stellar semi-annual performance report, announcing a production value of $20 million (USD) for the first half of 2025—a year-on-year increase of 27.5%. Behind these impressive figures lies the success of the company’s flagship brand, Kinodin, which has carved out a new position in the fiercely competitive global market through precise positioning, continuous R&D innovation, and a robust supply chain layout.
The core of Younik’s recent growth stems from a strategic pivot toward functional, efficacy-based hair care products. In the company’s R&D laboratory, formulators are not just testing textures; they are engineering solutions for hair loss and scalp health.
This philosophy is best represented by the company's newly upgraded Minoxidil Hair Growth Serum. Unlike standard formulations, Younik’s R&D team has developed a specialized delivery system that stabilizes the Minoxidil solution to ensure maximum absorption into the hair follicle while minimizing scalp dryness.
Alongside the medical-grade series, the company has also seen explosive demand for its Natural Rosemary Oil line and Lace Melting Sprays, catering to diverse hair styling and care needs across different demographics.
Walking into the Younik production workshop, one finds a spotless, bright operation platform. Dozens of workers manage the flow from raw material compounding to final packaging, supported by newly installed intelligent systems.
"Global demand for hair care products has surged in the last two years," says CEO Stefan Liu. "To keep up with the rhythm, we introduced fully automated production lines."
High-speed powder assembly machines and robotic arms now perform precise material extraction, weighing, and mixing. This upgrade has allowed Younik to handle the massive SKU complexity of the Kinodin brand, which includes over 1,000 product varieties—from Hair Building Fibers and Root Touch-Up Powders to Hair Wax Sticks and Dye Shampoos—spanning over 10,000 specifications.
Despite the automation, human expertise remains vital. In the color lab, Colorist Zheng Xiaoyang communicates with hundreds of shades daily. The company’s Hairline Powder series, a bestseller in the US and Europe, requires exacting standards.
"Dark hairline shades test our technical skills the most," Zheng explains. "If the pigment ratio is off by even a fraction, the color loses its purity and looks unnatural on the skin." Thanks to this precision, the team can now match and formulate a conventional 10-color hair fiber set or 12-color hairline powder kit in less than half a day.
Established in 2010, Foshan Younik has evolved from a traditional factory into a comprehensive supply chain platform.
"Our greatest advantage is our powerful supply chain," Stefan Liu told reporters. Previously, the company focused heavily on North America and Europe. However, recognizing the risks of a single-market approach, Younik is now actively diversifying.
The company maintains a regular presence at top-tier global beauty exhibitions, including Cosmoprof Bologna (Italy), Cosmoprof North America (Las Vegas), and Cosmoprof Asia (Hong Kong).
While solidifying ties with Western clients, Younik has successfully expanded into emerging markets. Sales from South America and the Middle East now account for nearly 25% of total revenue, with robust growth momentum. The company is currently accelerating its expansion plans for Southeast Asia, aiming to weave a denser global sales network.
